Came across this 30 minute video of Bon Iver taking a short break along their European tour in 2008 only to do an intimate acoustic Parisian show and had to share.
Bon Iver, if you don’t know (and if you don’t know, shame), is an amazing folkish sounding band that has brought beautiful simplicity to a whole new level. His unique style has made him a world renown name among folk bands, will look forward to the day I can see him in concert.
Perfect tunes for a somnolent afternoon..

I can only imagine what it was like to be there in the center of Paris for that set..

“To give you a more precise recap of the evening, we should have let a camera film the declining day, the ceiling light we switched off, the candles we put on the floor. When Sean and Mike left their chairs to let Justin sing “Skinny Love”, it was night-black. Afterwards, there were hugs, sushi, and some joints. Then we went down in the street. Liz Green was there; we sang in front of a carousel, on sidewalks, in the middle of the road, and then in a bar, where we got drinks.”

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Take Away Show #93 _ Bon Iver (full version) from vincent moon / temporary areas on Vimeo.

couldn’t help it, had to add on these two awesome versions:

reminds me a lot of Glen Hansard minus the Hollywood recognition.. Have to love his guitar, obviously holds some sentimental value because he has it all the time. Thinking of pounding a massive hole in mine for some better acoustics..
